Unlawful Gaze

“A man who gazes at a non-mahram woman is just like a pauper who stares through a shop window and desires items that he cannot afford. The pauper will get nothing by staring through the window. Likewise, a person involved in lustful glances gets nothing but frustration, for he is unable to acquire what he sees and desires.

So why stare at something that you cannot obtain?

Every time you look at a forbidden thing, your desire will grow, and its thought will haunt you even when it is out of sight. When this is the consequence of the unlawful gaze, is it not better to control the gaze at the very outset?”

Genuine Humbleness

“Pride and arrogance come in many forms. One manifestation of pride, which is not easily recognisable, takes the outward form of humility: some people feel the need to outwardly display humility while within they actually think highly of themselves for doing so.

People who are genuinely humble don’t have a high opinion of themselves, but truly believe themselves insignificant and humble. An analogy will help us understand what true humbleness is.

Imagine a sleeping person: while fast asleep he does not know that he is asleep; it is only after waking up that he realises that he had been asleep. Likewise, a person who is humble does not feel that he is being humble; his behaviour is naturally full of humbleness without him knowing it.”

P36 Kuala Terengganu by election - at a glance!

The by-election polling day has been confirmed which will be held on 17 Jan 2009. Prior to that KT will be inundated by supporters from contested parties be it BN, PAS or BEBAS. A lot of tricks and strategies could be seen in order to win the vote. For PAS, candidate is not a big deal but for BN it is crucial. BN must choose a right candidate to win this seat as indicator in last general election showed it was the personality of the late Dato’ Razali to help BN beat the outspoken Pas candidate, Mohamad Sabu. This time around the unknown Hazlan (Futsal) is likely to contest under BEBAS.

At the last general election, Razali won merely with a 628 majority. Don’t forget that the spoilt vote is even higher which is 931 and Kak Moon managed to get 685 votes. Looking at this scenario, the winner could be either BN or PAS. Failed to reach the grassroots will cost BN the seat.

The undecided voters will take into consideration most on the candidate credibility. The undecided will give their vote to a candidate whom they think will repay to them by doing something beneficial for the people in Parliament and not to contest only for the self interest and get richer. If BN nominate a seemingly arrogant and selfish candidate, I believe the undecided will vote for PAS or spoil the paper. To win BN must think out of the box like to choose a candidate which is new, clean, humble and approachable. Don’t ever try to recycle the bygone one.

So, this time the KT voters hope that PM will get correct information on who’s they like and who’s they hate. Big name means not much to them, it is the personality that matter most.

Dato Razali dies - to Allah we belong and to Allah we return

It was shocking when I received an sms at about 7.15 this evening. Dato Razali dies after collapsed while playing badminton. Considering he was very kind towards everyone, I feel a very great loss. He's a charismatic leader and very ordinary person. Approachable and easygoing. I admire his character and humility. I know him very well before he become a deputy minister.

He is the kind of leader I love to have. Serious in work, well-educated and honest. He's on his way to be the full Education Minister. Many would thought that way as his background and experience while being Pengarah Pendidikan Terengganu in 2001-2002 very reasonable to be elected for the post but Allah knows best.

May Allah forgive his mistakes, accept his good deeds, make his grave a part of jannah and bless his soul, ameen. Insha'a Allah

Al-Fatihah!

Liverpool 1 - 0 Marseille

It’s the 30th European goal of Gerrard that brought Liverpool to the 16 of the Champion League glorious trophy early this morning. After his absence in the earlier game against Fulham which saw Torres and Keane cannot break the ice after failing to get full support from the middle. It is Gerrard who always finds the idea how to break the stubborn and solid defence of the opponent’s team.

If Gerrard was the scorer, full praise must be given to Jamie, Agger and Reina who were defiant to every attack Marseille has throw inside the Reds penalty box. I don’t understand why Liverpool lost their tempo just after got the first goal allowing the opponent side to control the ball and mount the attack.

But, winning is the more important things regardless how did they play, ugly or beautiful. It bring the smiles to all Liverpool fans after upset of the outcome against lower team Fulham.
